However, last week, having used Carplay about 30 minutes beforehand, it suddenly doesn't work - basically says that the connection to my phone has failed. It does begin charging my phone though. I've tried changing the Apple cable and also updating to latest version of IOS, and resetting the settings on the car radio itself.
Had a friend try an iPhone 11 and it worked beautifully. I reset my phone, disconnected it from the car and I can only get the video to work and not the audio. Apple might need a fix in ios 16 as I was able to get it to work with an older phone showing that the cables and screen do work. The problem is my iPhone 14 and ios 16.
